The Hotel Luxor is a modern 4-star hotel committed to a more sustainable management in the centre of Turin.
In addition to joining BWH Hotels Italia & Malta's Stay for the Planet programme, in fact, the hotel has embarked on a path to obtain Green Key certification, the programme that guarantees standards of excellence in sustainability for tourist facilities.
 

Our sustainable approach

Our hotel is strongly committed to an environmentally friendly and more sustainable approach, which works on several fronts:

We monitor energy and water consumption and take virtuous actions that have a positive impact on the environment such as using energy-efficient lighting, purchasing renewable energy and saving water. We are also committed to promoting separate waste collection among our customers and employees by providing waste bins in common areas (or on floors).

We aim to transform our hotel into a Plastic Less environment, eliminating, where possible, the use of single-use plastic or replacing it with certified biodegradable materials.

We orient our purchases according to certain basic principles:

  • For food, we favour local and seasonal products, preferring those sold in bulk.
  • We minimise packaging and choose products with recyclable packaging.
  • We select products from companies that are committed to reducing their carbon footprint, verifying this commitment and the reliability of ecological certifications.
  • We inform all our suppliers of our sustainable choices.

We believe that sustainability is a shared commitment. Everyone can make a difference. We ask guests to adopt simple gestures for a more sustainable stay, from reusing bed linen and towels to paying attention to water use, from using the bins for collecting difference to not wasting food at breakfast.

We are happy to announce that we have been awarded the Green Key certification, a prestigious award conferred by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), testifying to our commitment to more sustainable hospitality.

Achieving Green Key certification is the result of a path of continuous improvement, aimed at meeting strict standards in the areas of environmental management, energy efficiency, waste management, responsible use of water resources, nature conservation and promotion of sustainable practices.
